Every straight, wavy or curly hair is unique. Everyone can achieve a different result with a particular method or product. A product application technique can help the owner of any hair type. Usually, to achieve the desired result, it is advisable to try several methods and see which one works best for you.

One such method that is worth trying is the ‘praying hands‘ method.

The sequence of steps is as follows. After shampooing, use a leave-in conditioner. Wait a moment. Then apply a styling product to your still damp hair. Separate a small section of your hair for this purpose. Distribute a generous amount of styling product in the palms of your hands and use them to clasp the strands together. Then gently work the cream, gel or mousse through your hair from the roots to the ends. It is best to bend over so that your hair is in front of your face. Smooth your hair with your hands to make sure the conditioner is applied evenly. This is a great alternative to brushing or combing, which can over-stretch your hair, compromising its structure.

Once you have applied the product, start kneading your hair, lifting it with your hands from the ends to the roots. This will ‘encourage’ your hair to form its natural curl. For bouncy hair it’s best to use products that don’t weigh it down and that contain moisturizing ingredients or proteins.

Getting bouncy and well-moisturized hair is not restricted to a specific hair type, but this method works best on curly and wavy hair.
