It is often assumed that the appearance and overall condition of the nails indicates our health. Nails are an organ that is heavily exposed to external factors, so not always their poor condition indicates health problems. There is a mass of diseases, which has nothing to do with the appearance of the plate.
There are many products on the market that are designed to harden and beautify the nail plate. On many of them it is written that they are made of UV-cured gel, which suggests that those made of acrylic will not be beneficial to our plate. As it turns out, all products designed for nail styling contain acrylic. The ingredient is not harmful to the nails, much more you should be careful about too intense sawing.
One of the biggest nail myths that many of us believe is white spots. It used to be thought that white spots were a vitamin deficiency that needed to be supplemented right away. According to recent research, they usually appear as a result of micro-trauma from a bump or as a result of an improperly performed procedure. They can appear up to 6 weeks after the event. Often during this time we forget about the cause and blame their appearance on vitamin deficiency. It also happens that the appearance of white spots may indicate a deficiency of minerals such as potassium. It all depends on how often they appear on our nails.
This popular myth is fortunately becoming a thing of the past. Nails that have polish, hybrid, or gel on them are additionally protected. Besides, nails are made of dead cells, which are not afraid of cosmetics. Only in case of an allergy to one of the ingredients a change can occur, which actually damages the nail plate. Also, improper application can damage the nail, so it is advisable to use the services of professional beauticians, who regularly disinfect the tools
Weakened plate should not be covered with a coating of artificial nails. The effect of various cosmetics used during such styling can further weaken them. It is worth betting on, for example, Japanese manicure, which will nourish the plate and give it a healthy look.
Nails, due to the fact that they are made of dead cells, do not breathe oxygen gained from the environment. They take it from the bloodstream, so this statement does not make sense, you can rest assured that your nails “breathe”.
Despite the fact that we have easier access to knowledge, on the Internet there are many funny myths about nails. It is better to debunk them before you give up things that do not harm them at all.
