We’ve got some bad news for late-night markers…

Determining one right time when each of us should go to bed is not an easy task. Experts say it all depends on your body. However, The Sleep Council’s experts also agree that the ideal time for most people to relax at night is between 10pm and 11pm. Why?

At what time should you go to bed?

During this time, body temperature and stress hormone levels drop. Additionally, our brain begins to produce melatonin, the substance we need to start falling asleep. This thesis was also supported by a study in 2018. According to this analysis, as many as 82% of respondents who went into the embrace of Morpheus at 10:20 pm had a very qualitative sleep. Most of them also noted that it made them start eating more regularly and healthier, as well as more willing to engage in physical activity.

Researchers warn, however, not to go to bed at 10 p.m. at all costs. If you don’t feel tired and want to sleep, forcing yourself will do more harm than good (e.g. affect insomnia).

Remember also that the influence of sleep on beauty is very big. So it’s worth planning your day in such a way as to provide your body with at least 7 hours of this kind of rest every day. What exactly does sleep give us? Radiant complexion, less dark circles under the eyes, uniform skin tone, as well as more shiny hair. Thanks to nighttime relaxation, it is also easier to get rid of excess water in the body.
